Ordering

Each Newton product (item, assembly or kit) is identified in catalog information by a ten or twelve digit ordering number, which may include a variable dash number. For example, within ordering number 00102110xx, the dash number (10) represents a dimension, specification or functional difference and should be selected carefully. The last two characters within the ordering number define the product’s finish code. Where the finish code can be user-defined, the last two characters of the number are shown in catalog information as xx. If no finish code is specified by the purchase order, Newton’s standard finish code for that product will be provided.

When a product is ordered using Newton’s ordering number, all parts shown on that product’s stock list are included with the product. To describe a product’s use, pictorial or other information may refer to items that are not included in the ordering number’s stock list. Refer to “Newton part numbering nomenclature, finish codes” for additional detail. Delivery requirements should be specified on the purchase order. Many of your emergency require-ments can be shipped the same day from our inventory.
